Founder + Head Coach
My name is Aaron Kellaway, I have an extensive football background spanning the last 30 years, I have played for Macarthur Rams from the age of 14 and made my first grade debut at the age of 15. I spent approximately five years in first grade competing in the State League and Super League competitions. I have been involved In the management of football teams and clubs for the past 10 years.
I am a motivated and highly competitive person with a Bachelor of Education degree secondary and currently completed my Football Federation Australia B Diploma in June 2023.
I feel my main strengths are that I have an ability to manage an eclectic group of personalities and also believe I can get the best out of any person or opportunity that is presented to me. I have an ability to articulate clear and concise instructions to remedy or develop a football situation.
I believe that hard work on and off the field pays off and if given the opportunity to enhance the football culture within organisations and you have my guarantee that I will deliver on every promise I make. I have an expectation on players and associates that at all times we display a level of professionalism, and that level of discipline will be an expectation set for both players and staff.
I have a football philosophy that follows closely to the FFA curriculum however the curriculum is more a guideline and as a coach we need to evolve and deliver the best for players in the most suitable formation based on the ability of every player and the opposition. I also have a focus on youth development and believe that no club can be sustainable without a strong youth policy or foundation of developing youth players into the senior football pathways.
It is my belief that youth, reserve squads and first grade teams should all be moving in the same direction and should never be seen as their own entity. If the club is to move forward and be sustainable for long periods of time every piece of the football puzzle has to be moving in the same direction and communicating this to all parties should be paramount.
